Xur'tal stood back up. Now that Connan's side of their shared consciousness had crossed over into the human realm, he had no drive at all to do anything for the boy. He was his own agent, and his alone.

The Fey'ri stretched and called out to the vampire he could sense.

"Hello there, bloodsucker."

Vampires and Fey'ri were classically on good terms with one another, and the situation stood with no need for agressive behaviour.

"Huh?Uh.
Hello.Who are you and how did you know?"Onizuka answered.

Xur'tal shifted his face slightly upwards, and the moonlight caught his eye, causing it to momentarily glow red. He grinned, bowed, and said "I, am Xur'tal Mynnane, Assassin of the Rynadune clan, though strictly at the moment I'm a freelancer. I'd be a poor excuse for a Fey'ri if I couldn't sense another part demon, now wouldn't I? Vampires aren't strictly demonic, but they're close enough to have that... aura."

"Well,You would be half right atleast.Maybe more but not entirely.
Although I am a vampire,The sun has no effect on me whatsoever.
My name is Onizuka.Nice to meet you,Xur'tal.

Xur'tal grinned. "No effect, hey? That's interesting. I've never heard of a vampire who isn't effected. Are you from a particularly strong bloodline or something?"

Onizuka looked down deep in thought.
"I dont know.I have no memory of my past."

"Eeesh. For a vampire, that would really, really suck."

Still stretching, Xur'tal sighed. He always felt relaxed after a kill. "So... what brings you this close to the edge?"

He looked back up.
"Im going to the other side on bussiness.
I was hired to help this guy named Tatsuya."

Xur'tal laughed. "Oh this is gold. Guess that mean nancy boy's gonna drag me into his mess, again. Bloody hell, you'd think he'd learn. Do me a favour- if you meet a guy called Connan, slap him 'til he bleeds and say it was from me. Well, no, don't really. But you get the idea."

"I almost killed Tatsu and his entire mafia.In the end,I thought it to be more interesting to help with this 'raid'.
I havent actually met this Connan person but I was informed that Id be working with him.What do you have against him?"

"Nothing, nothing. I was kidding- don't hurt the boy, and for God's sakes don't tell him about me. We're kind of... well, If he enters our realm, he turns into me. I can invade his body in the human realm, or go there in my sleep. It's complicated. He has no idea that I, or this realm, for that matter, exists."

Onizuka nodded.
"Alright.I wont hurt him.
Its not like hes one of the enemies that I will face.No we will be allies."

"Well that's comforting. I may end up bumping into you in the human realm one of these days. If I can figure out how to get there awake and in my own body, that is."

Xur'tal looked at the body of the man, still lying on the bridge.

"I didn't drain much from that, if you want the blood. The venom keeps it fresh, and it only reacts in a painful way if you get bitten- not if you drink it."

"Thats ok."
He said as he looked over at the body.
"May we meet again on the other side.
And hopefully by then you'll have a body of your own."

Xur'tal nodded. "That would be beneficial for both of us, I'm sure. I just need to figure out how to achieve that."
